Storm Surge: Adams Pours In 23 as #8 TABC Rides Into the National Championship, 58–45

The Storm keep rolling. #8 TABC, which knocked off top-seeded Valley on Friday, beat #13 HANC, 58–45, in Saturday night’s Tier I Semifinal on Court 1 and will play for the National Championship on Sunday.

The Hurricanes started strong. Sam Ofer scored four baskets in the first quarter and Ruby Tilis, whose buzzer-beater beat HAFTR on Friday, added four points as HANC went up 13–7. Then TABC took over. Ezra Krohn hit a three and Ezra Adams followed with two straight threes, part of an 11–0 run, and the Storm led 18–15 after one. TABC held HANC to four points in the second quarter. Adams hit another three, Rafi Karasick added one, and TABC led 31–19 at the half.

HANC answered in the third behind Tilis, who kept attacking the basket and getting to the line. A Tilis basket cut it to 34–29, but Karasick answered with his second three of the quarter, and TABC led 43–36 after three. A Tilis free throw made it 43–37 early in the fourth, but Adams answered with a basket and two free throws and later a three-point play, and the Storm pulled away.

Adams led TABC with 23 points, including three threes, and made all four of his free throws. Karasick hit three threes for 9, and Tani Stein and Josh Ross scored 6 each. Tilis led everyone with 24 points, 14 of 15 from the free-throw line. Ofer added 8.
