11-10-2011 | Hillel Hurricanes Breeze by Berman Cougars, 47-39

In the first quarter, Hillel Miami showed why they are the #3 seed in the tournament as they took an early ten point lead. But in the second quarter, Berman Hebrew Academy, led by Joey Levieddin, fought valiantly to tie the game at twenty-one at the half.

In the third quarter, Hillel Miami broke out of their second quarter slump, as Joseph Ammar scored thirteen of Hillel Miami’s seventeen third quarter points. And at the end of the third quarter, Hillel Miami led 38-25. Berman fought hard, but was never was able to fully fight back in the fourth quarter, and lost by a score of 47-39.

Hillel Miami was led by Natta Wainer who hit for 16 points, and Berman was paced by Josh Stern with 12 points. Hillel Miami will continue on into Tier 1, awaiting the winner of the Warrios vs. Cougars game, while Berman goes into Tier 2 play.
