Cooper MACS Show Grit in 47-37 Loss to Fierce Fasman Yeshiva
- Updated: November 5, 2023

In a spirited matchup that truly exemplified the essence of high school basketball, the Cooper MACS faced off against Fasman Yeshiva in a game that left fans on the edge of their seats. While the final score might show a defeat for the MACS, it doesn’t begin to tell the tale of their unwavering determination and heart displayed on the court.
From the opening tip-off, the MACS set the tone for the game, showing their commitment to giving it their all. Facing a formidable opponent in Fasman Yeshiva, they knew they had their work cut out for them. With a fierce will to succeed, they made every possession count, displaying a level of determination that left their home crowd in awe.
The MACS’ resolute play was led by their trio of dynamic scorers – Benny Freiden, Yosef Vanderwalde, and Jack Kampf. These young athletes showcased their skills and determination by relentlessly driving to the basket, hitting crucial shots, and battling hard for rebounds. The MACS’ heart was on full display as they pushed the envelope, going toe-to-toe with a tough Fasman Yeshiva team.
The Fasman Yeshiva squad, meanwhile, brought their A-game to the court, led by A. Amster’s impressive 21 points. Yet, the MACS refused to back down. They played with a level of grit and heart that captured the essence of high school sports – the relentless pursuit of victory and the camaraderie that comes with being part of a team.
Even in the face of adversity, the MACS fought for every point, playing with heart until the final buzzer. It was a game that reminded everyone in attendance that, in the world of high school basketball, it’s not always about the final score. It’s about the heart, the determination, and the passion that the players bring to the court, win or lose.
In the end, Fasman Yeshiva secured the win, but the Cooper MACS’ display of heart and determination was a victory in its own right. As the MACS walked off the court, they did so with their heads held high, knowing they had given their all and left it all on the hardwood.
