DRS Wildcats Spoil Cooper Macs’ Home Debut 72-33!
- Updated: November 14, 2024

The DRS Wildcats delivered a commanding performance in their 72-33 victory over the hometown favorite Cooper Macs, silencing a packed and enthusiastic crowd that had hoped to see their team prevail. Despite the disappointment, the home fans rallied behind the Macs, cheering every effort and celebrating key plays like Eli “The Jiggler” Weisfogel’s impressive 3-pointer and Jack Kampf’s determined drives to the basket.
From the outset, DRS made their intentions clear, with Mikey Fruend leading the way offensively, scoring a game-high 14 points. Joe Aaron added 11 points, and Yitz Bennett and Tzvi Tsaidi each chipped in 8, helping the Wildcats establish an early lead that proved insurmountable.
The Cooper Macs found some momentum in the second quarter, igniting an 8-0 run that briefly electrified the crowd. However, DRS quickly regained control, using crisp ball movement and suffocating defense to end the half with a 45-19 lead. Despite the uphill battle, the hometown fans continued to support their team, celebrating their grit and resilience.
As the second half unfolded, the Wildcats’ depth and balanced scoring solidified their dominance. Players like Moshe Baron and Zach Brand contributed key points to ensure the Macs couldn’t close the gap. While the Wildcats secured the decisive victory, the Cooper Macs left the court with the unwavering support of their fans, who appreciated their effort and sportsmanship.
