MDY Warriors Sacrifice Posnack RAMS On The Altar, 75-54
- Updated: November 14, 2024
In a battle between the #6 MDY Warriors and the #11 Posnack Rams, the game was neck-and-neck in the first half, but the Warriors found a second wind to secure a decisive 75-54 victory. With the scoreboard tight at halftime, the Warriors leaned on their offensive depth and defensive adjustments to pull ahead after the break.
Joshua Chabbott, the Warriors’ powerhouse, led the team with an impressive 22 points, creating constant pressure on the Rams’ defense. Max Abed added 16 points and managed to play a physical game while avoiding foul trouble, despite picking up three fouls. Alfonse Shiloach contributed 12 points, giving MDY the extra push needed to maintain their momentum through the game’s crucial moments.
On the Rams’ side, Jonathan Rhein put up an outstanding performance, scoring 28 points—more than half of Posnack’s total score. His offensive drive kept the Rams competitive in the first half, and he continued to fight until the end. Gideon Greenberg also contributed significantly with 14 points, while Eliran Fishman added 8 points. However, the Rams struggled to generate much offense beyond these three players, with the rest of the team combining for just a handful of points.
As the second half unfolded, the Warriors’ depth became evident. Eight different MDY players scored, showcasing the balanced attack that allowed them to wear down Posnack. Meyer Sakkal chipped in with 7 points, and several Warriors, including Jacob Chami, Phillip Sherr, and Marc Sutton, added 3 points each, allowing the team to build and maintain a comfortable lead. This depth, coupled with their strong second-half defense, proved to be too much for Posnack to handle.
Despite Posnack’s best efforts, the Warriors’ well-rounded roster and efficient ball movement allowed them to finish the game in control. The win solidifies MDY’s position, as they continue on into Tier 1, while the Rams move down into Tier 2.
