Ohr HaTorah Thunder defeat Jewish Educational Center THUNDER 62-57!

In one of the tournament’s most exciting matchups, the #1 Ohr HaTorah Thunder outgunned the #4 JEC Thunder in a high-scoring 62–57 thriller. The game lived up to its billing, with both teams trading baskets and momentum throughout four quarters of fast-paced basketball. This one was for a spot in the Tier II championship on Sunday, so both teams came out shooting.

For OH, T Levy led the charge with an explosive 19-point performance, attacking the rim with confidence and knocking down clutch shots when it mattered most. C Adelman followed with 12 points, providing consistent scoring from mid-range, while Y Perez added 10 points, anchoring a balanced offensive attack. S Hayyim (8 points) and M Voskovsky (6 points) added key contributions to keep OH ahead down the stretch.

The JEC Thunder, however, refused to go quietly. A Rozehzadeh was sensational, pouring in 22 points and keeping JEC in the game with aggressive drives and accurate shooting. M Schnur added 12 points, while E Krause (6 points) and Y Feit (5 points) helped mount several comeback pushes that kept OH under pressure until the final buzzer.

The game’s final minutes were intense — JEC narrowed the deficit to just two before T Levy buried a crucial basket, followed by defensive stops from J Galler and E Zoldan that sealed the win for OH.

With the 62–57 victory, OH Thunder earns themselves a spot in the coveted Tier II championship game, while JEC Thunder will move on to the Tier II consolation game.
