Wolfpacks Roar Louder: Valley Torah Crushes MTA Lions 92-47

In the opening quarter of this intense matchup between the #2 seed Valley Torah Wolfpack and the #15 seed MTA Lions, the game showcased moments of individual brilliance. Valley Torah Wolfpack’s Levi Banon, who wore number zero, stood out as he scored the first two baskets for his team. On the other side, MTA Lions’ Josh Treuhaft, sporting number 34, displayed his sharpshooting skills by sinking a pivotal three-pointer, which contributed to the Wolfpack taking a 6-5 lead. The Wolfpack capitalized on MTA’s turnovers, creating multiple offensive opportunities. As the first quarter came to a close, the Valley Torah Wolfpack held a 4-point lead, setting the stage for an exciting and closely contested game.
In the second quarter, the action continued to intensify. The quarter began with an impressive three-pointer from Doniel Baron (#24) of MTA, signifying their determination to compete fiercely.
As the quarter progressed, both teams displayed tremendous physicality on the court, reflecting their determination to secure the win. With 4 minutes and 30 seconds remaining, the Wolfpack held a 32-25 lead, maintaining the game’s competitiveness.
Josh Treuhaft of the Lions established dominance in the paint, accumulating a remarkable 13 points in just 13 minutes of play. His contribution in the post proved pivotal for the Lions. The second quarter concluded with a memorable defensive play by Nochi Book, who delivered a monstrous block to end the half.
In the third quarter, the Valley Torah Wolfpack came out strong, extending their lead by 24 points within the first three minutes. Their offensive and defensive dominance continued, and they finished the quarter with a commanding 37-point lead over the MTA Lions.
In the fourth quarter, Valley Torah maintained their strong performance, emphasizing their control over the game. MTA made valiant efforts but continued to struggle against Valley Torah’s dominance. Despite their determination, the score remained in favor of Valley Torah, securing their victory. The top scorer for Valley Torah was Ethan List, who scored 30 points and didn’t play a minute in the fourth quarter, while MTA’s top scorer was Josh Treuhaft with 15 points. Valley Torah prevailed by a score of 92-47.
