Wolfpack Roars to Victory: Valley Torah Dominates HAFTR 64-43!

In a high-energy matchup to conclude their weekend, the Valley Torah Wolfpack claimed third place in the Tier II bracket of the Annual Memphis Invitational with a decisive 64-43 win over the HAFTR Hawks. Both teams entered the game eager to finish their tournament campaigns on a high note, but Valley Torah’s relentless defense and balanced scoring proved too much for the Hawks to handle.

HAFTR made a bold statement with their striking pink-and-blue ombre jerseys and won the opening tip-off. However, their early offensive struggles set the tone, with three missed layups and a costly 5-second violation. The Wolfpack capitalized quickly, with #30 Yaron Mahgerefteh scoring the game’s first points on a rebound put-back.

Both teams initially struggled to find their rhythm, but a Wolfpack timeout shifted momentum. Following the break, #23 Josh Mesica ignited Valley Torah’s offense, sinking back-to-back three-pointers to establish an 8-2 lead.
