Memphis Yeshiva Invitational

Rams Charge Ahead! Posnack Powers Past YGW Knights 55–43 to Advance in Tier III!

The #2-seeded David Posnack Jewish Day School Rams continued their impressive Tier III run, using a dominant second half to pull away from the #7-seeded Yeshiva of Greater Washington Knights, earning a 55–43 victory behind a balanced, disciplined performance.

Leading the way for Posnack was Guy Shlomi, who poured in 18 points with his signature mix of smooth shooting and crafty finishes. M. Mann added 13, bringing energy and control to the Rams’ offense, while M. Furer chipped in 10 as Posnack’s depth once again proved decisive.

The game began as a tight, physical matchup, with the Knights refusing to back down. Akiva Ravin was sensational for YGW, lighting up the scoreboard for 23 points and keeping his team in striking distance throughout the first half. L. Shwechter and Y. Radner added key buckets, but as the game wore on, Posnack’s relentless pace and defensive pressure began to take over.

In the third quarter, the Rams found their rhythm — forcing turnovers, controlling the boards, and capitalizing on transition opportunities. Shlomi’s hot hand kept the offense humming, while Mann and Furer provided timely buckets that extended the lead into double digits.

By the fourth, Posnack’s poise sealed the deal. The Rams maintained their composure, moved the ball with confidence, and closed the game out at the line.

The final score — Posnack 55, YGW 43 — reflected a team that’s hitting its stride at the perfect time. With another strong, balanced effort, the Rams have made it clear that they’re not just a top seed on paper — they’re playing like one on the court.
